MEET THE SPORTS CREW
For more than a decade, Geoff Ketchum (gkketch) has been the city of Austin’s leading voice in sports talk radio. From his time in the No.1 drive-time rated slot to his nationally syndicated show with YahooSportsRadio, the voice of Orangebloods.com comes to The Yakk in an effort to bring all of the radio show content without the crappy radio business. Longhorns… Cowboys… Game of Thrones… Miley Cyrus… the topic change by the show, but the quality never lacks.

Born and raised in Houston, Dustin McComas began work at Orangebloods.com as an intern in 2006, and soon became a do-it-all writer and reporter covering all things Longhorns. A UT grad, McComas spends way too much time watching sports, probably drinks too much iced coffee, and enjoys trying new restaurants and traveling with his wife, Elizabeth. McComas, who has lived in Austin since 2005, has a 12-pound shih tzu named Willie that thinks he’s a person. He could eat buffalo wings for every meal, but mixes in fruits and vegetables in the form of Tex-mex.
Anwar Richardson is currently a columnist and reporter at Orangebloods.com. During his 25 years as a sports reporter, Anwar has covered nearly every sport and event imaginable. He covered the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Detroit Lions and the entire NFL as a writer at Yahoo. Anwar is a former Pro Football Hall of Fame voter. In addition, the boxing enthusiast covered that sport for years and was ringside for bouts featuring Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Felix Trinidad and more. He won four APSE awards and was previously named the best sportswriter in Tampa Bay.

He’s seen it all and keeps his finger on the pulse of all the Texas recruiting news for Orangebloods.com and Rivals.com. THE AUSTIN ANTHEM TEAM
Originally labeled “The Assist” in its first season, it was the audio genesis of the MLS in Austin Supporters Group discussing developing details surrounding Austin’s potential major league destiny. Assists only reward players whose passes result in goals. Major League Soccer was Austin’s goal. Mission Accomplished. We were The Assist – now, we’re The Anthem.
